Will my giving be confidential?
Yes! Only the Treasurer and Planned Giving Officer will see your financial offering.
What is the 'best' way to give?
Direct giving through the bank is easiest for both you and the church. A simple Banker's Order is all that is needed and your bank will forward your agreed gift to the church account automatically every month.
You can cancel or change the arrangement at any time.
How much should I give?
The Christian life teaches us to respond generously to God's grace in our lives. Pray and think carefully what will be right for you to give out of your budget. Please give regularly what you feel is right.
Some people find it helpful to think in terms of the equivalent of a daily newspaper (say 50p per day), a weekly bus trip to the city (say £2) or the cost of a weekly 'treat' of coffee and a scone (£3 per week). Some people are able to donate much more (say £10 weekly or £50 a month). Although occasional gifts are very valuable, deciding to make a regular donation is even more helpful.
Is Gift Aid important?
Yes! It means that as a taxpayer you can offer more to the Church by signing a simple declaration. For each £10 we can claim back £2.82 until April, when it will fall to £2.50. So the more people are able to give in this way the better.
Pray and think TRIO – The Responsibility Is Ours – and give thanks to God.
